The DeKalb Junior Tigers won their opener Saturday in Baxter 26-6.

After choosing to receive the opening kickoff, the Tigers proceeded to drive down the field, taking up almost the entire first quarter. That drive would end with a #20 Silas Cross touchdown.

The Tiger defense held strong the following drive, forcing a Stinger punt. DeKalb would once again run the ball all the way back to the end zone, this time carried by #15 Kolter Kilgore.

The Stingers began to show signs of life after half-time when they closed the gap 13-6. But in the fourth, DeKalb would pull away with another touchdown run by Cross, followed by an interception by #2 Andrew Vickers. #18 Briz Trapp would put a period on the night with one last touchdown run.
