Black Team Wins Scrimmage in York, 13-0

The DeKalb County Jr. Pro teams traveled to Jamestown Saturday to take on the Fentress County Bulldogs in the rematch of the teams’ games held in Smithville on

August 24th. For the, the Black and Gold faithful who made the trip were rewarded with an outstanding preview of things to come from the Peewee Black Team, as the team beat the Bulldogs, 13-0.

Seth Cantrell lit the scoreboard up first for the Tigers, rumbling down field to give the Tigers the first score of the contest.  DeKalb converted the point after and the Tigers took the early lead 7-0.

The Black Team defense was stifling all game long.  Never allowing the Bulldogs to make a serious threat in the game.

Then, that defense went a step further.

Caleb Parhem recovered a fumble and lateraled to Jordan Stanick who ran it in for a touchdown in the Tigers' victory at York Saturday.

On Fentress County’s last series of the contest, Caleb Parhem recovered a Fentress County fumble and lateraled to Jordan Stanick who took it all the way to the house for the Black Team’s first defensive score of the season, expanding the Tigers lead to 13-0.

The Jr. Pro Teams will travel to Livingston this Saturday to take on the Overton County Outlaws.
