It was a good weekend for Davis Auto Body in the Little Boys Division of the Smithville Jr. Pro Basketball league. After a day that saw the Big Red Machine pick up two more wins handily, the team took the early lead in division play, improving to 4-0.
Their first win of the day came against Florence and White Ford. Led by Briz Trapp, DAB stunned F&L from the outset, picking up the win easily, 28-7.
DAB kept F&L scoreless in the first half, while putting up big numbers offensively, scoring 20. While Briz Trapp was virtually unstoppable in the game, Davis Auto Body had contributions team-wide. Christopher Robinson had possibly his best game of the young season, putting 8 points on the board.
Florence and White made the game respectable in the second half, as Jordan Parker finally found some weakness in the DAB defense, managing 7 points and accounting for all of F&L’s scoring, all in the second half.
For the game, Briz Trapp led all scoring with 12. Christopher Robinson followed with 8. Jordan Parker scored 7 points for Florence and White Ford. Marquez Chalfant added 4 points for DAB and Axel Aranda and Seth Cantrell each added 2.
