DeKalb Misfits split, will play Little Ducks in first round of Elimination Sunday

The DeKalb County T-ball Misfits went 1-1 Saturday in the TYBA State T-Ball Championships Saturday, defeating in county rival, the Little Ducks 13-3 in the opener before falling, once again, by only 1 run to the Murfreesboro Mayhem.

Both DeKalb County teams have continued to show steady improvement throughout the tournament, playing well in all four contests each teams competed in.  With basically only two weeks of preparation time before the tournament’s beginning, both teams have performed valiantly against the finely tuned, and very potent, Murfreesboro Mayhem.

Sunday will begin the elimination portion of the tournament, and perhaps fittingly, the first game will feature both teams from DeKalb, the winner advancing to the championship game to face The Mayhem, who earned a bye in the weekend’s tournament by defeating both DeKalb teams twice during the tournament.

Game time tomorrow for the contest is 10:30 am, the winner playing again at 1:00pm for the championship.  Everyone is encouraged to attend.
