DeKalb Senior Tigers Roll over the Bulldogs, 20-0

The DeKalb Jr. Pro Senior Tigers opened the regular season last Saturday just the way they had hoped to, with a complete domination of the visiting Fentress County Bulldogs.  DeKalb play well on both sides of the ball throughout the contest and picked up their first win of the season, 20-0.

DeKalb started fast behind a strong defensive effort which forced a Fentress County fumble on the third play of the game to give DeKalb the ball in excellent field position on the Bulldog 30 yard line.

Three plays later DeKalb would be in the endzone with a big Skylar Sparks run up the middle.  Desmond Nokes would convert the PAT and DeKalb took the lead early, 8-0.

Both teams would punt the ball back to each other but DeKalb would score again on their first series of the second quarter.  After an excellent return put the Tigers on the Bulldog 17 yard line, Alan Munoz would drive the ball to the 3, before Skylar Sparks would get his second touchdown of the contest.  This time the PAT was no good, but the damage was done, as DeKalb expanded their lead to 14-0.

DeKalb would notch its final score in the contest in the second half when the Tigers would put together an impressive five play, 50 yard drive culminating in a 16 yard Kobie Snipes touchdown rumble to put the Tigers up by what would prove to be the final score, 20-0.

DeKalb improves to 1-0 on the young season and will face Overton County next week at home.
