County Jr. Tigers, Saturday was a great day.  Behind a two touchdown performance by Aldino and a stifling defensive effort, DC brought home the trophy in Cookeville’s Jr. Pro football Jamboree by blanking the Cavaliers, 16-0.

DeKalb looked good from the start, scoring on the first drive on a 70 yard dash by

Aldino on the first play from scrimmage.  Aldino would carry in the conversion and, just like that, DeKalb led 8-0.

DeKalb would force a Cavalier punt and then quarterback Issac Knowles would put together an impressive 7 play drive all the way to the Cavalier 11 yard line before the drive stalled.  Cookeville would be unable to take advantage of the stop, however, as time ended in the first half.

The White and Black defense would flex its muscles again to begin the second half,

forcing Cookeville into a three-and-out, giving the Tigers great field position to begin their first drive of the half, at their 49.

As it turned out, they didn’t even need that advantage.

The stout DC defense handled the rest.

The Tigers never allowed Cookeville to get in sync at any time in the second half and a Aldino interception late sealed the victory for the Tigers.

For the game, DC put up over 150 yards of offense while keeping the Cavaliers offense completely in check, allowing no offense yardage in the contest.
