Junior Tigers lose close one in Jamestown, 6-0.

The Junior Tigers almost got their first win of the season Saturday when DeKalb traveled to Jamestown to take on the Fentress County Bulldogs.  The team played well, but in the end came up short on the scoreboard, 6-0.

The Black and Gold defense played exceptionally well throughout the game, giving up on 100 total yards throughout the contest and recover a Bulldog fumble.  Tiger Issac Knowles again led the team in total yards, gaining 71 all rushing.

While neither team scored in the first half, the Tigers looked like they would get on the scoreboard twice in their first two possessions, driving all the way down the field before losing a fumble, and turning the ball over on downs.

The game’s only score came in the third quarter when Fentress County put together a five play, 54 yard scoring drive to put the Bulldogs up 6-0.

For the game, Issac Knowles led the team with 73 yards on 13 carries, Evan Sprague rushed 7 times for 13 yards, Axel Aldino carried the ball once for 4 yards and Kolter Kilgore gained 2 yards.
