The Junior Tigers remained perfect Saturday, improving to 3-0 on the season after an impressive 34-0 shutout of the Overton County Outlaws, 34-0.

Kolter Kilgore and Marquez Chalfant were a powerful duo for the Tigers Saturday.
The Tigers scored early and often in the contest, while totally controlling the Overton County offense throughout the contest. Tiger quarterback, Kolter Kilgore had his best game of the season, throwing for 2 touchdowns and running for another. The Tigers put up 220 yards of total offense in the contest and held Overton County to 1oo, much of which was added in garbage time.
After stopping Overton County on their opening drive, Kilgore put together an impressive 11 play, 75 yard drive to, culminating in a seven yard Kilgore scamper to the end zone to put the Tigers on the board first. Silas Cross would add the conversion attempt and DeKalb led 7-0 early in the second quarter.
DC would force a three-and-out on the Outlaws’ next possession and four plays later Kilgore would find Marquez Chalfant from 19 yards out to put the Tigers in the end zone again. This time the conversion attempt would fail, but the damage was done, as DC expanded their lead to 13-0, going into the break.
Marquez Chalfant would take matters into his own hands when the new half began.
Taking the opening kickoff 60 yards to the house, Chalfant would increase the Tiger lead. Silas Cross would add the extra point and just like that, the Tigers took a 20-0 lead.

Conner Close had a touchdown receiving in Saturdays contest.
Two drives later, Kilgore would air the ball out again, this time finding Conner Close from 38 yards out for another Tiger touchdown. Andrew Vickers would add the point after, giving DC a 27-0 lead.
DeKalb’s final score wouldn’t come from the Black and Gold offense, instead Mason Winter would intercept an Overton County pass around midfield and take it all the way in for a touchdown. Briz Trapp would add the conversion attempt and DeKalb won going away, 34-0.
For the game, Kolter Kilgore was 2 of 2 passing, for 54 yards and 2 touchdowns through the air. Marquez Chalfant led the way rushing for DC, running for 93 yards and two touchdowns in the contest. Silas Cross added 22 yards on the ground for the Tigers while Konner Young added 15. Kolter Kilgore ran for 12 yards and a rushing touchdown in the game, while Andrew Vickers had 7 yards rushing and Ryan Thompson added 6.
Defensively, Mason Winters had a trifecta in the contest, with a tackle, interception and a touchdown in the game. Tyler Estes had 6 tackles in the contest and Briz Trapp and Diego Cornado had 5, while Silas Cross had 4. Andrew Vickers and Marquez Chalfant had 3 tackles, and Ari White, Konner Young and Ryan Thompson had 2 tackles, while Issac Newport added 2 tackles and a sack. Stetson Agee had a tackle and a sack and Kaleb Spears, Ryder Miller and Mason Winters each added 1.
Sunday the Tigers will travel to Baxter to take on Monterey in last week’s makeup game. Gametime will be approximately 2:30.
