Even though the score might not confirm it, the scrimmage was a win for the Tigers and for all who witnessed it.  Yes, the Tigers scored only once, but those who witnessed the game wouldn’t have traded 100 points for the 6 the team got.

The Peewee team suffered a great loss this week, tragically losing one of it’s beloved coaches, Shane “STU” Usrey. “Coach Shane Usrey was a great man, father, husband and friend,” said head coach, Brad Trapp.  “He loved coaching kids and will be greatly missed.”

In an event that will forever immortalize his memory and will touch many lives indefinitely, his son, Matthew Usrey, honored his beloved father by running the Tigers first play from scrimmage 70 yards for a touchdown.  The PAT failed but no one seemed to care as the crowd went wild in celebration of the wonderful event.

And the rest, as they say, is history.
