The win less Peewee Tigers are win-less no more, ending the 3 game skid in convincing fashion by defeating the Fentress County Bulldogs 20-0 Saturday in Smithville.

Blaine Atnip and Cole McMillen converge on a Fentress County defender
The team really couldn’t have played much more impressively as the Tiger Offense seemingly could move the ball at will throughout, in route to a 209 total yard performance. The Tiger Defense impressed no less, causing 2 turnovers and holding Fentress County to -11 yards for the game.
Quarterback Jon Hendrix had a huge day, rushing 9 times for 133 yards and two touchdowns in the contest. Big Blaine Atnip saw his first rushing attempts of the season and didn’t dissapoint, running 6 times for 37 yards and a touchdown.
After causing a Fentress County fumble on the Bulldog’s opening drive, it would take Hendrix only 2 plays to find the endzone, breaking through from 20 yards out to put the Tigers on the board. The PAT would be good and just like that the Tigers had what they hadn’t had all season long, a lead, 7-0.

Jacob Stewart had a big day for the Tigers Saturday.
Aiden Taylor would force another Fentress County turnover on the ensuing drive but DeKalb couldn’t take advantage of the excellent field position. In fact, neither team would score again until the second half.
But oh how the Tigers would open the third quarter.
Putting together by far his most impressive drive of the season, Hendrix drove the Tigers 70 yards downfield in 11 plays before streaking 39 yards in for another Tiger touchdown. Blaine Atnip would convert the point after, giving the Tigers a 14-0.

Nick Murphy continues to impress for the Tigers this season.
With their confidence building, the Tigers forced a Bulldog turnover on downs and Hendrix and the offense went back to work.
Taking only 4 plays, the Tigers added another score when Atnip took the ball in from 6 yards out for another touchdown. This time the point after would fail, but the damage was done and the game was won by the Tigers, 20-0.
In addition to Hendrix and Atnip, Nick Murphy carried the ball for the Tigers 8 times for 28 yards and Jacob Stewart added 11 yards on 5 carries.
With the win, the Tigers improve to 1-3 on the season and will host the division leading Crossville Junior Panthers the Saturday.
Game time is 4:00.
