The 2014 Peewee Tiger preseason started last Saturday in Baxter for DeKalb with a contest with border neighbor, the Cookeville Midgets. The Black and Gold had a tough time in the contest but gained invaluable experience against an older Cookeville foe. DeKalb managed only one touchdown in the contest, a goal-line scamper by quarterback Wesley Kent, but progressively played better as the game progressed.
The team will host its own Jamboree this Saturday in Smithville when another border foe, Gordonsville, comes calling.
The following are selected images from last Saturday’s contest.
