The Monterey Wildcats proved to be no match for the DeKalb Senior Tigers Saturday, as the Tigers played perhaps

Issac Knowles
their most complete game of the season, defeating the Wildcats 22-0.
Issac Knowles was again prolific for DeKalb, rushing 13 times for 53 yards and a pair of Tiger touchdowns in the game. Quarterback, Kolter Kilgore showed his arm throughout as well, going 2 of 4 and finding Desmond Nokes in the end zone for a touchdown.
While the offense did indeed shine, the Tiger defense played no less spectacular. Combining for 30 total tackles, the Black and Gold Defense totally shut down Monterey, forcing 4 turnovers and holding the Wildcat offensive attack to just 64 yards.
DeKalb got on the board first early in the second quarter when Kilgore put together a 10 play, 59 yard drive that ended with Knowles running in from 2 yards out for a touchdown. Kilgore would find Grayson Hendrix in the end zone to convert the two point conversion to give DeKalb an 8-0 advantage.

Desmond Nokes
DeKalb would force a turnover on Monterey’s next play and it would only take one more play for the Tigers to increase their lead.
Kilgore would drop back to the Wildcat 26 yard line on the Tiger’s ensuing possession and fire the ball to Desmond Nokes who would take it all the way in for another Tiger Touchdown. Issac Knowles would carry the ball in for the point after and, just like that, the Tiger lead grew to 15, 15-0.
After the DC Defense would force another Wildcat fumble early in the third quarter, the Tiger Offense would take over deep in Wildcat territory and three plays later Knowles would dive in from 3 yards out for another touchdown. Knowles would again convert the point after and the Tigers would increase their lead, to what would eventually prove to be the final score, 22-0.
For the game, behind Knowles, Desmond Nokes carried the ball 6 times for 35 yards while adding 23 yards and a touchdown receiving. Silas Cross would and Andrew Vickers would each add 3 yards rushing, Kilgore had 2 and Tyler Estes added a yard. Grayson Hendrix caught a Kilgore pass for 13 yards in the game.
With the win, the Tigers improve to 2-1 and will face Fentress County this Saturday at home.
