The Tigers will play for third place in the MTYFC Senior Division following a 27-7 loss to #1 seeded Smith County Saturday. The Tigers could just never get anything going on offense due, in part, to turnovers, as the Tigers fumbled on 4 of their 8 drives in the game. The offense was able to move the ball in spots but outside of the 48 yard touchdown drive, the Tigers were held in check for much of the day, managing only 124 yards offensively.

Desmond Nokes
The DC Defense allowed 10 first downs on 226 yards of offense in the game, but did force two turnovers. The Owls were able to put together sustained drives on 5 of their 9 possessions, allowing the Owls to not only put up points, but eat up time as well.
Desmond Nokes was a bright spot for DeKalb, scoring the Tigers lone touchdown of the day early in the third quarter and recording 5 tackles and an interception in the contest.

The Tiger Defense
For the game, Desmond Nokes led all Tigers rushing, running 8 times for 52 yards and a touchdown in the contest. Workhorse Alan Munoz carried 13 times for 47 yards and Issac Knowles and Malachi Hall each had 3 yards rushing while quarterback, Axel Aldino chipped in with 1 yard.
Aldino was 4 of 5 passing on the day, good for 29 yards. Alan Munoz and Desmond Nokes each had 2 receptions on the day, for 20 yards and 9 yards respectively.

Alan Munoz
Defensively, outside of Nokes, Alan Munoz let the team in tackles with 8 and a sack in the contest. Axel Aldino and Luke Jenkins each recorded 3 tackles and Payton Lee and Josh May had 2 apiece. Three Tigers, Brady Hale, Brayden Givens and Conner Crabtree all contributed with 1 tackle on the day.
This Saturday the Tigers will play the Fentress County Bulldogs for 3rd place in the conference. The game will be on the campus of Smith County High School and will be played at 3:00pm.
