If winning helps build confidence, the Senior Tigers will start the season as a very confident team, thanks to a 22-0 victory against Cookeville last Saturday in Baxter’s Jr. Pro Jamboree.
DeKalb dominated on both sides of the ball throughout the contest, scoring almost at will, and shutting down any threat Cookeville could manage offensively. Every Tiger saw playing time, as Head Coach, Toby Nokes substituted early and often throughout the second half.
The Black and Gold will return home this Saturday as Gordonsville travels to Smithville to face the Tigers in DeKalb’s own Jamboree. Everyone is invited and encouraged to attend.
